Virginia S. "Pat" Hunt's Obituary
Virginia S. "Pat" Hunt, 85 years of Millstadt, IL, formerly of Dupo, IL., passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Bria of Columbia in Columbia, IL. She was born August 1, 1938, in Alexandria, LA to James G. and Vertis Zelma (Hilyer) Stevens.
Pat had worked at the South County Wal-Mart for many years having worked in the Photo Lab, as a cashier and also as a greeter. Pat loved to gamble and party. She loved her animals dearly. She was the first female little league coach for the Dupo Khoury League and she worked as a bartender at the Dupo VFW post when her husband served as Commander.
Surviving are her sons, Ray Hunt and Dana Hunt, her grandchildren, Sean Hunt, Amanda Ray, Korie Vakoff, Taylor Rinehart, and Trace Hunt, her precious Angel dog Rusty, her dear friends Jolene and Greg McDowell, Jeff and Dawn Snider, Diane Hottenrott, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Hunt, Sr., and her parents, James Gordon and Vertis Zelma, nee Hilyer, Stevens.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the 5th Street Billiards, 200 N. 5th Street, Dupo, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Helping Strays of Monroe County, 4221 Hanover Rd., Columbia, IL. 62236.
