To Virgil’s family and brothers,
Please accept our deepest sympathies on the passing of your loved one. Virgil was in a select group of Army veterans. There were only 3 “Guns A Go-Go” Chinook CH-47 helicopters that were used in Vietnam at the same time from 1966 to 1968. With a crew of 7-8 and a tour of duty of a year…that is a very limited number of combat veterans that served on these helicopters. Virgil’s Chinook number 64-13149 called “Easy Money” was the only “Guns A Go-Go” helicopter that survived the War. “Easy Money” is now in a museum at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama. His brother Don was here on a visit in 2018, I think. I had a DVD on Army helicopters that had footage of “Easy Money “. I sent it back with Don to give to Virgil. May he rest in peace…his work is done.
Peace and prayers to all.
