I was honored to know Tom for several years as he was one of my customers since I first opened my business. Quickly we grew a friendship and I always enjoyed his visits and talked so passionately about his beloved Ellie and not Katie. I will miss the frequent phone calls with a bright, cheerful greeting from the other end, “Taylor? Tommy Rushing, how are you?”
I hope you the first face you saw was your sweet Ellie girl 🐾❤️

Tommy was such a great person, loving, caring, fun to be with and a Godly man. We know where he is but our heart breaks for your loss. Allan and I have such fond memories of our times together at our house and yours Super Bowl Parties. If there is ever anything we can do please let us know. You will always be family.

I willmiss you so much Uncle Tommy. You were always there for me and told me how it was of I wanted to hear it or not. You were great at giving HORRIBLE directions, knew where every Columbia Police officer sat in town and made the BEST " Uncle Tommy Tea". From bathing in your kitchen sink as a baby, to hiding under the sink when visitors would arrive, to always being a phone call away when I needed help from so far away. And Pasta House was a must when the kiddos and I would come visit. I will always cherish the memories and I now know you are at rest, resting peacefully. Love your Niece, Mary
