Thomas Loren Peter, 78, of Millstadt, IL. Born, February 8, 1938 in Smithton Township, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in New Athens, IL..
Thomas was a retired Construction Supervisor for the telephone company. After his retirement, Thomas enjoyed spending much of his time at the Peter Strawberry Patch.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Leola (nee Mueller) Peter.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Lou, nee Schubert, Peter, daughters Debbie Boling and fiancé Mark Schmidt, Marsha (Robert) Cannon, Susan (Scott) Drapeau, grandchildren, Haley, Mason, and Muriel Boling, Ian, Logan, and Trevin Cannon, Brandon and Elise Drapeau, sister, Helen Schmisseur, brother, Chris (Carrie) Peter. He is also survived by many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the New Athens Home for the Aged, the Alzheimer’s Foundation, or Zion Evangelical Church of Millstadt, IL.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill., with Reverend Darrell Weber, officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, IL.
