Melvin W. Mueller's Obituary
Melvin W. Mueller, 90 years old of Millstadt, IL, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Freeburg Care Center, Freeburg, IL. He was born August 9, 1930, in Centreville, IL.
Melvin was a member of Concordia United Church of Christ and active member of the Concordia Youth Group. He retired after 36 years for the Missouri/Union Pacific Railroad in Dupo/East St. Louis/St. Louis. He served in the United States Army for 2 years. A special thank you to the Concordia Church family for all of the support and help provided.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Mueller, nee Bryan, his children, Wayne Mueller, William (Sheri) Mueller, David Mueller, Ann (Robert) Lee & Ronald Mueller, his grandchildren, Anthony Mueller, Brandy (Derek) McClure, William Mueller, Matthew (Becky) Mueller, Christa (Bill) Wilkerson, Nikki (Wade) Trapp, Jay (Megan) Smith, Jamie Lee, Brian Lee, Richard Lee & Brandon "Mueller" Siegfried, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin & Frieda, nee Scharf, Mueller, his son, Donald Mueller and his brothers, Floyd Mueller, Edgar Mueller & Earl Mueller.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 12 p.m. - 2p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL. Masks are required and current social distancing guidelines are to be followed. Private family funeral services will be held with Rev. Joan Meier, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Concordia United Church of Christ Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
