Lois Marie Haas' Obituary
Lois Marie Haas, nee O’Dell, 85 of Millstadt, Ill., born July 17, 1930 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Rosewood Care Center in Swansea, Ill.
Lois enjoyed a career as an administrative assistant. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Centreville, Ill., and was an Associate for the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. She was an excellent artist, cook, gardener and seamstress.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Pius Haas, to whom she was married for 64 years; her parents, Everett & Mary O’Dell, nee Lynch, and her sister Irene Gain-Downing, nee O’Dell.
Surviving are her children, Everett Lee Haas of Belleville, Ill., David (Suzanne) Haas, James (Marty) Haas of Millstadt, Ill., Richard (Sue) Haas of Arnold, MO; and Barbara (Marcus) Teng (nee Haas) of Kirkwood, MO. Also surviving are her sister, Helen Randle (nee O’Dell) of Navarre, FL; her grandchildren, Ryan (Emily) Haas, Beth (Jeff) Wilson (nee Haas); Claire, Caroline and Catherine Teng; and her great-grandchildren, Amelia and Adrian Haas and Caden Wilson.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials contributions may be made to the Adorers of the Blood of Christ.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill. and on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia, Ill.
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Cahokia, Ill, with Fr. Elmar Mauer, officiating.
Burial will be in Green Mount Catholic Cemetery in Belleville, Ill.
