Julia M. Stanger's Obituary
Julia M. Stanger, nee Schneider, 92 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at her residence. She was born November 30, 1928, in Red Bud, IL.
Julia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Dupo, IL., and the Sacred Heart women's club. She loved shopping and her card club friends. Julia loved St. Louis Cardinal baseball and Julia and her sister-in-law, Alice were die hard season ticket holders and "bleacher bums" for the St. Louis Cardinal football team.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Stanger, her parents, Henry and Orilla, nee Fischer, Stanger, her grandson, Luke Stanger and her brother, Vernon Schneider.
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Stanger, her son, Dennis Stanger, her two Granddaughters, Sarah Misak and Stephanie (Jacob) Weber, her great-granddaughter, Emily Misak, her sister-in-law, Alice Stanger, along with nieces & nephews, great nieces & great nephews and great great nieces & great great nephews.
Private family Mass will be held at Sacred heart Catholic Church in Dupo, IL., with Fr. Osang Idagbo, officiating. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Millstadt, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the Emily Misak nursing school scholarship at First National Bank of Waterloo.
