John/Paddlefoot/Chud and I were very good friends for over 75 years. We went to Grade School and High School together. We played sports together, fished & hunted together all of our lives. John was a fierce competitor in everything he did. When I married John was my BEST MAN. (He often reminded me of that.)
One story that I can repeat is about a fishing trip near Mitchell, GA. John caught a Bass that looked to be about 10 lbs. He was bragging about its weight. When I questioned his eyeball estimate he told me "It might not be 10 lbs now but by the time we get it to Dupo it will weigh over 12 lbs," (Only John)

we worked together for a lot of years but most of all the great fishing trips we maid together he took me on one of the most exciting fishing trips i was ever on in Florida i'll never forget that, he was a great hunter and fisherman may he catch a big one in heaven
John became my friend around 2002. He would take me and some Cub players and coaches fishing and he was always the best, except one day I just kept catching them and he would just keep saying "dang Otis." I'm not sure if it was dang he would say but something along those lines. He would make us all feel special on his boat.
We will all miss him very much.
