Mr. Manson was born in Murphysboro, IL, son of the late William H. and Ivo B. (McCoy) Manson. He was a retired electrician for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, and was a member of St. Paul U.C. of C., Columbia, IL, Gothic Lodg Read Obituary

Also, I wanted to say that George was one of the finest gentlemen I have had the good fortune to meet.

George was such a wonderful, caring and welcoming man. I shall always remember his kindness and his support of me while I ministered in Columbia. My sympathies to his family, and to Anne especially, "Do not mourn George dead, rather think he is gone and waits for you, for you shall meet again."
We'll miss our friend but we know he's in good hands in heaven.
