Erv was always very kind and generous to me and made me feel truly like apart of his family. He will truly be missed by those who knew him. I was glad to have had the honor and privilege to know him - he lived a remarkable life and I was glad I got to share some of it with him.
A personal story I would like to share about Erv. I had only been dating his grand daughter Christena for a few months at the time and he provided me a rent free place to stay in the finished basement of his home in Columbia for several months after I moved to St. Louis in the summer of 1998. He never asked for money, he let me stay for as long as I needed to and while I eventually married Christena he had no idea who I was at the time but he opened his home to me because I needed a place to stay. - - - Jamie Frank
