Elmer Doyle Keys' Obituary
Elmer Doyle Keys, 66 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Touchette Regional Hospital, Centreville, IL. He was born August 3, 1957, in East St. Louis, IL.
Doyle was a retired engineer from the Union Pacific railroad after 40 years of service. He was a member of the O'Fallon Masonic Lodge #576 A.F. & A.M., the York Rite, the Scottish Rite, and Ainad Shriner's where he was a member of the Ainad Compacts.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Linda Keys, nee Vaughn, his children, Larinda (Scott) Stephens, Mandy Keys and Steven Keys, his grandchildren, Abby (Josh) Suda, Kolby Stephens and Isabella Keys, his great-grandchildren, Hayden, Wyatt and Bryson Suda, his mother, Effie Keys, his sisters, Norma (Jimmy) Shelton and Linda (Dean) Dudley, his dog Charlie, along with nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Floyd Keys and his sister, Carol Pizzo.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home, there will be a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 23, 2024, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL., with Rev. Roger Reid, officiating. Interment will follow in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Belleville, Illinois.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Shriner's Hospital for Children 4400 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110 .
