My earliest memories of Doyle was when he was working with his father on his route. His dad's route came through our neighborhood on a regular basis. Our family was one of their regular customers and would be for many years. At that time I only new him from a distance as they were always moving through town from home to home.
It wasn't till we both got to DCHS Junior High before we actually realized we were the same age and would both be part of the graduating class of 1975. A lot of crazy stuff happened during our high school years.
Doyle seemed to be one of those few people who let lot's of things roll off his back. He always stood his ground and held his head high. You might say he was a gentle giant I don't recall ever seeing him angry. He was openly a religious man. A good man. He is at peace now.
Linda, Peace be with You and the entire family . . .
