I recall the time I had a teacher's convention in St. Louis about 1983, and let Dodie know where I'd be staying. We decided it would be wonderful if we could get together and visit over supper. She picked me up at the hotel and our time spent was pleasant, the conversation relived past family events, and now is a treasured memory. We often emailed each other until she became ill. She was a delightful part of the family!
My father, Ollie, loved to drive Dodie and Ginny around Erie, showing off our city and wonderful sights. We'd stop for a delicious meal after the 'tour' and continue to enjoy each other's company. The ladies were a joy to know!
