Deborah Simmons was born in East St. Louis, IL, daughter of the late Jacob Edgar Steppig and Patricia (Mason) Steppig, of Eldon, MO, who survives her. She was the wife of Michael Lee Simmons, who survives her. They were married in on March 17, 1972. She was a postal employee with the Columbia, IL Post Office, with 30 yrs. of service.
