Deborah Simmons was born in East St. Louis, IL, daughter of the late Jacob Edgar Steppig and Patricia (Mason) Steppig, of Eldon, MO, who survives her. She was the wife of Michael Lee Simmons, who survives her. They were married in Read Obituary
Thank you to all, my father, sisters and I miss my mother very much, I know she is in heaven watching us all. I cannot wait until the day we get to see her again. I miss her so much, and I know she is thankful that we have all of you to to depend on through this emotional time

As you all know I came to see Mom and pay my respects to the four of you. Obviously, I was not thinking right and forgot to sign the guest book. Mom was the best! I'll always remember the look on her face when we got caught coming home that one morning. God love her!

To Mike and family. Our sincerest and deepest wishes go out to you. Deb fought a fight that none of us should ever have to. We can at least rest assured that she is in a better place. We appreciate all that you have done for us and hope you realize a lot of prayers are extended to you and your family.

Christine, I am so very sorry to read about your mother passing. I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I use to watch Trece, Grant and Jacob in the daycare at the YMCA.
I was sorry to hear of your great loss. I always remember Debbie being so honest, open and funny when we would have sleepovers with Chris/Michelle. She was definitely one of the 'cool' mother's.
You can be sure she will be watching over all of you from above while taking care of little Taylor.
Please know that I wouldn't have missed being there for you had I been in town. I will be in touch when I return.
I am terribly sorry to hear of your loss. My memories of your wife and mother is of her being very supportive of your family. Seeing her at volleyball games when she could make it.
