David A. Berry's Obituary
David A. Berry, 68 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville, IL. He was born in St. Louis, MO, the son of the late Archie and Mae (Offermann) Berry, and his step-father, the late Louis Lepp. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL, American Legion Post #581, The Illinois Police Association, and Columbia Blue Lodge #474 AF & AM. Mr. Berry was a retired Lieutenant with the Columbia Police Department, he had served in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam War Veteran. Dave was a long time air rifle instructor with the Columbia Jaycees, and was an avid fisherman. He was married to Lea (Matzenbacher) Berry, who survives him. They were married on February 6, 1965, in Columbia, IL.
