Rest in Peace Brother.
Words cannot express how sorry we are; heartfelt condolences to all of you. I'll never forget our camping trips and his Spam and jelly sandwiches. Remember the good times, & cherish his memory. We will be praying for God's comfort & strength for all of you. God bless & take care.

The Degener Family
I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.
Lea, Lisa and Laura-Wanted you to see the Facebook post that our David made after we told him of Dave's passing. I think the reference he makes in the quote may be from the song Dave sang to the kids to calm them. Again, our sympathies.
From Dave Norman via Facebook:
Rest In Peace, my old friend Dave Berry! (Not Dave Barry the humor writer; Dave Berry, my old rifle coach) "Right up the birdie's butt." Still gets me, man. God bless ya :)
Laura, Lisa, & Mrs. Berry,
I was very saddened when I got the message from Dennis. Please know you will all be in my prayers. Our families were brought together by the luck of the draw, I guess, as Laura & I started (& finished) our college careers as roommates. It was a good match, as our families were similar. Mr. & Mrs. Berry always welcomed me into their home & made me feel like one of their own. May the memories of good times shared together bring you all comfort.
My heartfelt sympathy to the family. I will always remember Dave as a tall, commanding person who was very protective of his daughters. He is in heaven and will be greatly missed.
Our deepest condolences for your loss. The video tribute was beautiful!
David was my first boy friend in seventh grade when he asked me to go steady in Mr. Evans class. So many of us have been fortunate enough to keep in touch a bit these last few years. We all lose a bit of ourselves when we lose another classmate. My sincere condolences.
Dear "Lea and family",
Please accept our sincere sympathy.
"Everyday is a Gift".
The older we become, the faster these years seem to pass, and the more we appreciate, also give thanks for our family and good friends.
You all are in our thoughts and prayers during the days ahead!
During this Memorial Day weekend, we give thanks for Dave's military service in the Navy. He is another "special veteran"!! "God Bless"
Our love,
Dave and Bobbette
