OBITUARY
Carol M. Stapf
Carol Margaret (Waelti) Stapf, 93 years old, of Millstadt, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2020, at the Oak Hill Care Center, in Waterloo, IL. She was born February 10, 1927, in Belleville, IL.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Elmer Stapf, who died Dec 7, 2009. They were married on February 24, 1952. Carol was skilled at gardening, sewing and needlework. She raised chickens, sold produce, and throughout her life contributed to running the family farm.
Carol is survived by daughter, Elaine Rich (husband, Gene) of Silver Spring, MD, and son, Gary Stapf (wife, Madonna) of Millstadt.
Grandchildren are Michael Stapf (wife, Hillary) of Millstadt, Matthew Stapf of Columbia, Edward Rich of Rockville, MD, and Patrick Rich (wife, Emily) of Warwick, RI.
Great-grandchildren are Tatum, Taylor, Logan, and Hudson Stapf.
All services will be private. Interment will take place at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
Carol was a member of Concordia United Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to the church or to donor’s choice.
