Norma and I purchased our wedding rings from Arnold in 1972. On our wedding day, Friday, May 19, 1972, we had to stop by Hogan's Jewelry on Friday evening to have my ring cut off as we managed to put it on the wrong hand and the ring finger swelled up so bad the ring had to be cut off. Thank goodness stores in Red Bud were open on Friday evenings back in 1972. Each time we look at our wedding rings we are reminded of Arnold. Rest in peace. Semper Fi John & Norma Preston
Hogan and Mitze were our next door neighbors on Locust Street when I was growing up, and he was a very special person! It was Hogan who pierced my ears at his jewelry store. And it was Hogan who arranged my Grandma Burgdorf's diamonds in the engagement ring my Dad gave my Mom, that my husband later gave to me - I received a compliment on such a timeless piece only a month ago, and such wonderful memories of him came flooding back. What's funny is that I never knew his first name... he was fondly "Hogan" and a very dear man to our family.

Mr. Hogan and Mitzi were always “the neighbor across the street”. He and my Dad would occasionally talk about their Service in WWII. I bought his brown Mustang, which meant relearning how to use a stick shift. Even had Arnold pierce my ears! He was always kind to my family and asked how we were when we saw him. We will miss him.

Dear Mitzi, Patty, Karen, and families,
Your husband, dad, and grandfather was an amazing man. We have lots of awesome memories. I remember going into his jewelry store as a kid and spending the night at your house growing up. Stan loved playing golf with him. He made Stan feel part of the community. He surely will be missed.

We were next door neighbors to Patty’s family for around 8 years and your parents lived down the street on corner of Fieldcrest.
