Anthony "Tony" A Rose's Obituary
Anthony A. “Tony” Rose, 72, of Dupo, Illinois, passed away on December 30, 2025, at his residence.
Tony is survived by his wife and soulmate of 50 years, Pam Rose; his two daughters, Leslie (Justin) Biggs of Millstadt, Illinois, and Kristi (Chris) McClain of St. Louis, Missouri; three grandsons, Titus (Sabrina) Taylor of Houston, Texas, and Devin and Brayden Biggs of Millstadt, Illinois; granddaughter, Kailyn Wagner of Columbia, IL; and five beautiful great-granddaughters; Sister, Mary Koch; Brothers, James (Janice) Rose, Joey Rose, and William Billy Rose, all of whom he loved deeply.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, James and Beverly Rose, and his older brother, Mark Rose.
Tony spent his entire career working in the electrical industry, where he made a profound impact and formed numerous lifelong friendships. Outside of work, Tony was known for his love of all things sports-related. While he was always recognized for his own athletic talents, his greatest impact came later in life as a coach and mentor.
Tony became an avid supporter and lover of girls fastpitch softball while his daughters were young and active in the game. In his later years, he went on to become a coach, mentor, guide, and friend to countless young boys through his love for the game of baseball. Coach Tony was simply one of the best.
Tony will be remembered for his wit and humorous character, his infamous one-liners, and the many valuable life lessons he shared with those around him. He will always be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a man of great character, love, and pride. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, as he touched the lives of so many.
A celebration of Tony’s life will be held Saturday, January 3, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Illinois.
