Winnefred D. Fiege was born in Columbia, IL, daughter of the late Ferdinand Fiege and the late Elizabeth (Miller) Fiege. She was a member of St. Paul U.C. of C, Columbia, IL, where she had been active with the Women's Guild, playing the organ, and singing with the choir.
