William Maynard Umbdenstock's Obituary
William Maynard Umbdenstock, 70 years of Baldwin, IL, passed away on October 11, 2017 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL.. He was born November 23, 1946, in St. Louis, MO.
William drove a tractor trailer as an Owner-Operator for 48 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 51 and the OOIDA. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army as an Officer's Chef while stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. William loved gardening, fishing with his friends and spending time on the road in his tractor trailer. He made it to 49 states and several Canadian Provinces during his time on the road.
Surviving are his wife Sharon (nee Mayberry) Umbdenstock, daughter, Michelle (Joe) Minnemann, son, Nicolas (Holliann) Umbdenstock, step-son, Bradley Mayberry, brother, Ronald (Deborah) Umbdenstock, sisters, Joyce Ellner and Glenda Meyer, brother-in-law, Warren Mayberry. He was also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mildred (nee Armbruster) Umbdenstock, mother and father-in-law, Allan and Rosemary (nee Urban) Mayberry, and brother-in-law, Paul Meyer.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 4 - 8 p.m., at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, IL, and Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 10 - 11 a.m. at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Red Bud, IL Services will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Red Bud, IL , with Pastor Lisa Hart officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Marcus Cemetery, Red Bud, IL.
