William "Perry" Meehan's Obituary
William “Perry” Meehan, 74, of Dupo, born April 29, 1941 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Saturday, June 27, 2014 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, lll.
Mr. Meehan retired as a union carpenter from Local 480-662. He was a founding member of the Belleville Enduro team “Bet” and was a member of Local 480-662.
Mr. Meehan was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence & Mary, nee Heffern, Meehan and his son, Christopher Meehan.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Meehan, nee Fields, his son, William Perry Benton, his daughters, Angie Johnson, Erin (Special Friend, Lee) Meehan, Meghan Meehan, his son, Kevin (Jackie) Meehan, his grandchildren, Jason Johnson, Tony Bechtoldt, Ashley Osborne, Kaitlyn Roberts, Shane Meehan, Jackson & Myla, his sister, Patsy Gilmore, his brothers, Lawrence “Buddy” Meehan & Francis Meehan. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill.
Graveside service will be on Thursday, July 2, 201 at 10:30 a.m. at Madonnaville Cemetery, in Madonnaville, Ill.
Inurnment will be in Madonnaville Cemetery in Madonnaville, Ill.
At Mr. Meehan’s request, he was cremated.
