OBITUARY
William Heine
William Francis Heine, 100 yrs of Columbia, Ill., passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Jefferson Barracks Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born March 9, 1917 in Spring Grove, Ill. He was married to the late Lillie M. Heine, nee Byers, they were married May 10, 1947 and she passed away March 21, 2009.
William was retired from Cerro Copper in Sauget, Ill., as a billet driver. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia, Ill., and the American Legion Post 581 in Columbia, Ill., and he was a WW II United States Air Force Veteran.
Surviving are his niece and god child, Sandra Rey of Columbia, Ill., his close friends and neighbors, Mark and Jenni Mehrmann, he is also survived by nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and great great nieces & nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Frank Lee and Mary Etta, nee Foens, Heine, his brothers & sisters, and his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. at Lawlor Funeral Home in Columbia, Ill.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lawlor Funeral Home in Columbia, Ill., with Rev. William Groennert, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, Illinois.
