Although there is a great physical distance between us, my heart stands with you as you say goodbye to your father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. I shall greatly miss his wonderful stories, both written and oral (especially the ones about Pop Schellhardt and hunting) and the sound of his voice. Although I have not kept in close contact I share your grief and will always remember a man who: always had a smile on his face, a great story to tell, a dog to tease, and a kindness that included all. We were truly blessed to have been able to say we were part of his family.
Dear Everyone,I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Bills passing.Iknow the heartache and loss you feel.I also know words or intentions do little to sooothe the grief.Time lessens it but never cures it. Just know my thoughts and prayers are with you. I'll always remember him for his wonderful stories and the letters he would write to my Mom,she would share them with us boys and they were a joy to read.We've all had a rough couple of years in losing friends and family,hopefully we can find some joy in events in the near future.Although through the years we have not been close geographicaly I'll always hold dear the memories of family get togethers at Grandmas and all of you.
