William "Bill" E. Jarrett's Obituary
William Edward Jarrett, 86 years of Red Bud, IL, passed away on August 30, 2023 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, MO. He was born December 15, 1936, in Willisville, IL.
William was retired from the former Color Art-Graphics printing company of St. Louis, and a former Red Bud IL Alderman. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 427 A.F. & A.M., Red Bud, IL. the Shriners, and a former member of the Red Bud Lions. William enjoyed motorcycling, and attending Bluegrass concerts.
Surviving are his son, John (Kay) Jarrett; daughter, Karen (Richard) Diemert; daughter-in-law, Shari Jarrett; grandchildren, Shelby (Kyle) Noland, Ian Jarrett, Toni (Patrick) Chege, Terri Gwin, Tonya Gwin, Bradley Diemert; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Ethan, Alex, Trevon, Christian, Ashley, Dauntay, Hayden, Aaron, Jackson, Kaysen and Adison; numerous great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Jo Preston, and Mary Beth (Robbie) Chandler; sister-in-law, Jennifer Jarrett; special friend, Donna Brown; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Wanda M., nee Eaton, Jarrett; wife, Vickie Lynn, nee DeMent, Jarrett; son, Terry Jarrett; grandson, Andrew Diemert; brother, Rudy Jarrett; two sisters, Jerry Ann (Ralph) Guebert, and Karen (Lester) Homan.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 5, 2023, 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at St. Peter United Church of Christ, Red Bud, IL. A Memorial Service will be held following visitation at 12:00 noon at church,with Pastor Cory Hartz officiating. Private interment of ashes will take place at a later time in St. John's Cemetery, Fults, IL.
