OBITUARY
William John Bowlin
William John "Bill" Bowlin, 56 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 6, 1963, in Centerville, IL.
Bill was a member of First Baptist Church in Dupo, IL. where he was baptized on June 26, 2005. He was a career mechanic starting at K-Mart where he worked for over 20 years. He then worked at Mobile Mechanic, Atlantic Express, Watco, Gateway Service Center and for the last 7 years at River Roads Sales and Leasing in St. Louis.
Surviving are his wife, Sheila Bowlin, whom he married July 9, 2005. His son, Brandon Ficken; his brother, Melvin "Butch" Ficken; his sisters, Jackie Mezo & Betty Scott; his father-in-law, Tom Bowlin; his sister-in-law, Renee (Kene Turcott) Bowlin; his brother-in-law, Larry (Jennifer) Bowlin; his nephew, Ricky (Diane) Bryant; his niece, Jessica; his great-nephews, Kendall Bryant & Dylan Bryant; his 3 cats, Rocki, Littleone & Tabbie (TT); along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jane Steube; his father, Melvin John Ficken; his infant daughter; his infant Son, Jesse Dakota Bowlin; his mother-in-law, Janet Klein Bowlin; his sister, Donna Bryant; his niece, Amber Ficken Touchette; and his brother-in-law, Rick Bryant.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Dupo, IL.
Life Celebration service will be Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Dupo, IL., with Roger Reid officiating.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Brain Cancer Research, Renee's Rescue in Granite City, or to the family to help with funeral expenses.
