OBITUARY
Dr. Wayne Walter Reinking
Dr. Wayne Walter Reinking, 83 years of Red Bud, IL., passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at his residence. He was born May 11, 1935, in Elgin, IL.
Dr. Reinking was the former superintendent at Prairie du Rocher School District. He was also a professor at SIU Edwardsville and St. Louis University. He was also a United States Air Force Veteran and was quite proud of being an instructor while in the Air Force. He currently sat on the board for the Regional Board of School Trustees.
Surviving are his wife, Faye Hughes, his four sons, Caysey Reinking of Sonnyvale, CA, Christopher (Cheryl) Reinking of Los Altos, CA, Carl Reinking of New Mexico & Andrew (Dareth) Reinking of Edwardsville, IL; his grandsons, Remington, Rhys & Cole; along with nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law & other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter (Adelia) Reinking; 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Graveside service will be on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO., with full military honors.
