Wallace C. Maier's Obituary
Wallace C. Maier, 83, of Cahokia Heights, IL., formerly Dupo, IL., born October 19, 1940, to the late Wallace C. & Alice Loretta Mable George (Maier), passed away June 30, 2024.
Wallace "Uncle Wally" enjoyed spending time with his family, his many friends and church family, he was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved animals and was affectionately known as the animal whisperer. Wallace retired after 40 plus years of dedicated service with Missouri Pacific/Union Pacific. He very much enjoyed model rail road building.
Surviving are his niece Kathy Lorance; his children, Teena (Kenneth) Pulcher, Paul Maier, Tim Maier, David Maier, Alia (Julie) (Anis) Asif and Susan (Charlie) Sumner. Also surviving are 38 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Gearlene Maier; his grandson Angel Torres; two sisters, Mary Ella Seyler and Budeana Bochantin; his two ex wives, Marie Evilsizer-Maier and Beatrice Gomez-Maier.
Visitation will be Friday, July 5th, 2024 from 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM at Faith Ministries Center, Caseyville, IL. Funeral service will be Friday, July 5th, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Faith Ministries Center, Caseyville, IL. with Pastor James Gray officiating. Private internment will follow at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
