Virginia Russell, 86 years of Cahokia, IL, passed away on July 17, 2018 at Integrity Health Care of Columbia, Columbia, IL. She was born December 3, 1931 in Catawissa, MO.
Virginia was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a waitress and worked at Huffman and Penneman Elementary Schools in Cahokia, IL for many years.
Surviving are Daughter, Debra (Jim) Henry; Two Grandchildren, Dawn (Brian) Rouggly and Elvis "Jimmy" (Cyndi) Henry; Great-Grandchildren, Michaela and Brandon Rouggly, Liberty and Izabella Henry; Brother, Gail (Zouline) Schamel, Nieces, Charlene Fantroy and Angie (David) Mann; along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Earnest Russell, Parents, George and Mina, nee Crandall, Schamel, Brothers, June Leroy Schamel, Jerry Schamel and Jack Schamel.
Per her request, Virginia was cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
