She was born in Carbondale, IL, the daughter of the late Gladys and Mary (Thomas) Reeves. She was married to the late Bobby LeRoy McDaniel. He had passed away January 2, 2001. She had been a member of The Ordr of the Eastern Star - Queen City Chapter #697 (Past Worthy Matron), Daughters of the Nile - Al Sihah #29 (past Queen).
