Virginia had worked at Concordia Publishing, St. Louis, MO, was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Columbia, IL, where she had been active with the quilter's group and a Sunday School teacher, American Legion Post 581 Aux., Columbia, IL , and VFW Post 7980 Aux., Millstadt, IL. She was married to the late Albert H. Hornbostel. They were married November 5, 1935 in Chester, IL. He had passed away Febraury 28, 2008.
