Virgie Bell Anderson's Obituary
Virgie Bell Anderson, 90 years, of Saint Louis, MO, passed away on December 1, 2018 at Mercy South, St. Louis, MO. She was born April 2, 1928, in Paragould, AR, daughter of the late Robert and Ersula, nee Swindle, Gilbert. She was married to the late Richard C. Anderson. He had passed away September 7, 1987.
Virgie was a past member of Hope Christian Church, Columbia, IL.
Surviving are two sons, Gordon (Joan) Anderson of Valmeyer, IL, and Richard 'Calvin' (Valerie) Anderson Jr. of Hecker, IL; two sons-in-law, Ed Porter of St. Louis, MO, and Tim Lapham of Fults, IL; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her two daughters, Betty Porter, and Vanessa May Lapham, along with a brother, Robert Gilbert.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 4, 2018, 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Darrell Jones, officiating. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
