Vernon 'Buzz' Haberl was a WW II Army Signal Corps. Veteran of the Utah Beach D-Day landings and the Battle of the Bulge.He had retired from Monsanto Chemical Co. in 1986, where he had worked as a Chief Chemical Operator.He was also a member of the Columbia Senior Citizens, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lifetime member - Gateway Battle of the Bulge organization, Past President of Monsanto Local #16 Retiress Club, and State of Illinois Road Review Course Instructor.
