Vernon 'Stein' Daab's Obituary
Mr. Daab was a retired Scale-master at the Columbia Quarry, had worked at Eberhard's Restaurant as a manager for many years, and had volunteered at the Monroe County Court House in Waterloo. He was an Army Veteran of WW II, a member of the American Legion Post #581, Columbia Senior Citizens, Columbia Historical Society, and St. Paul U.C. of C., Columbia, IL,He will be remembered for the many poignant poems that he wrote over the years.
