Verna Lee Martin's Obituary
Verna Lee Martin, nee Lucas, 91, of Colorado Springs, CO., formerly of Millstadt, IL., born November 21, 1924 in Maryville, IL., passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Brookdale Bear Creek in Colorado Springs, CO.
Verna was preceded in death by her husband: Ross "Pepper" Martin, her son, Dennis Ross, her parents, Edward & Antoinette, nee Polc', Lucas and her brothers, Roger Lucas & Donald Lucas.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Dick) Sorce of Buena Vista, CO., her granddaughter, Cristie Lynn Kennedy, and great grandchildren, Spencer Ross and Sydney Lynn Kennedy, and step grandchildren Kirk Sorce and Craig Sorce and step grandchildren, Samantha Sorce, Noah Sorce, Dillon Sorce and Parker Sorce. She is survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alzheimer's Association of Colorado Springs (2315 Bott Ave, Colorado Springs, CO. 80904).
There will be a private family graveside service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
