Vera H. Reichert's Obituary
Vera H. Reichert, 90 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on, Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Oak Hill Care Center, Waterloo, IL. She was born August 10, 1928, in Sugarloaf Township, IL.
Vera was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, IL, where she had been active with the Women's Guild. She lived for her family and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband, of 68 years, Gilbert Reichert, they were married on September 17, 1950 in Columbia, IL., her daughter, Judy (Frank) Cordie of Mexico, MO., her three sons, Dennis (Melissa) Reichert of Dupo, IL, David (Debbie) Reichert of Dupo, IL, and Don Reichert of Fulton, MO, 10 grandchildren, Kellie, Kristy, Kari, Derek, Emily, Jeremy, Anna, Arik, Kayte and Kayce, 14 great grandchildren, her sister, Dorothy Ehlers of Columbia, IL, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Olinda, nee Arras, Hofstetter, her two granddaughters, Deena and Kristen and her brother, Roy Hofstetter.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL, and on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at Christ United Church of Christ, Dupo, IL, Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Church, with Rev. Todd Mushaney, officiating. Interment will follow in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
