Veda M. Amsden's Obituary
Veda M. Amsden, 81 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at her residence. She was born September 3, 1942, in Sikeston, MO.
Veda had worked as an office manager for Baders Art Supply in St. Louis, MO. She loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
Surviving are her children, Steve (Tracie) Amsden, Pamela Amsden, and Travis (Julie) Amsden, her Grandson, Tommy Amsden, Granddaughter, Ciara Amsden, Granddaughter, Tessa (Jared) McCunn, her great granddaughter, Jordyn Amsden and her great grandson Owen McCunn on the way, her sister, Eloise "Sissy" (Allen) Brannam, her brother, Roger (Phyllis) Hall, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Hubert "Junior" L. Amsden, her great-granddaughter, Savannah M. Amsden., her parents, James Gilbert and Myrtle Lee, nee Hannah, Hall, her siblings, Lois Morris, James Hall, Glen Hall, Olon Hall, Jenny Denbow, Betty Sue Morgan, Willis Hall, Selma Land and J.W. "Dub" Hall.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL., with Jim Jarvis, officiating. Interment will follow in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the American Heart Association. Arrangements were handled by Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
