Twila Dolores Catherine Hankammer's Obituary
Twila Dolores Catherine Hankammer, Mueller, 83, of Freeburg, Ill., formerly of Columbia, Ill., born December 11, 1933 in Waterloo, Ill., passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at Columbia Rehab and Nursing in Columbia, Ill.
Twila worked for Famous Barr. She was a long time member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia, Ill., American Legion Post 581 Ladies Auxiliary in Columbia, Ill. since 1974, and she loved her dogs very much.
She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married April 28, 1973 and who passed May 9, 1993, Theodore A. Hankammer, her parents, Henry C. & Augusta, nee Hoffmann, Mueller, her sisters, Ardell (Lorenzo) Vogt & Mildred (Arthur) Berneking, her brother, Nelson (Viola) Mueller, Ralph Mueller & Robert Mueller and her brother-in-law, Mike Halleran.
She is survived by her sister, Pearl Halleran, her sister-in-law, Helen Mueller. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Columbia Volunteer Ambulance.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill.
Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill.
Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Columbia, Ill.
