Thomas Walls' Obituary
Thomas Walls, 79 years of Ellis Grove, IL, passed away on August 19, 2017 at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, IL. He was born February 4, 1938, in Granite City, IL.
Thomas started as an Aeronautical Mechanic at McDonnell Douglas and was a Vice President at American Device which became Dorma in Steeleville. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Ellis Grove, where he was also a member of the choir. Thomas had many hobbies including golf, fishing, sport shooting, woodworking, riding motorcycles, a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, and spending time with his beloved family.
Surviving are his wife Mary, nee Biethmann, Walls; Three Sons, David (Doris) Walls, Stephen (Lawanda) Walls, Dwayne Walls; Daughter, Deanna (Gary) Littell; Nine Grandchildren, April Walls, Sean Walls, Darrell (Jennifer) Walls, Dane (Kelly) Walls, Kristen Walls, Matthew (Rachel) Walls, Mitchell Walls, Dustin Littell, Macy Littell; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Twin Brother, Jerry (Roseann) Walls; along with many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Faye Conner-Walls; Maternal Grandparents who raised him, Gus and Elva Conner.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at Koch - Liefer Funeral Home, Red Bud, IL, and Thursday, August 24, 2017, 10:00 am - 11:00 am, First Baptist Church of Ellis Grove. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday August 24, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Ellis Grove, with Pastor Bill McCluskey officiating. Interment will follow in the Ellis Grove Cemetery, Ellis Grove , IL.
In lieu of customary remembrances, Thomas requested with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the family to help defer funeral costs.
