Your going to miss Sonny. My dad will continue sharing memories about you.

I could go on and on with Sonny Pratt memories, but I'll limit it to two Christmas related ones. One year we were over at their house and we remarked a beautiful ceramic nativity set they had. On Christmas day they gave us this large box and what was it but a set just like theirs. Probably Karen had more to do with that, but that's the kind of people they were. We still treasure that nativity set, and now even more so.
Second memory - Sonny asks me if I'm going to be at South County Mall doing our church gift wrapping booth on Christmas Eve and I said I would be there for a few hours that morning. That day, he comes by our booth with armfuls of gifts for the girls in his life, drops them down, tells me to have them wrapped, he'll be back for more, and he was. After that he was on his way to St. Clair Mall for more. He loved doing all of his Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve, he told me it really got him in a great holiday mood. I told him he was nuts but he just laughed at me. Oh how he loved his four girls.
He also taught me the basics of carpentry framing and so many other things. It was an honor to have spent special family times with Sonny and the ladies, to serve with him on the school board and most of all, to call him my friend. Love you Sonny Pratt, Karen, Kendra, Tracy and Annette.

Sonny was one of the best bosses I have ever had. I will miss him so much. He always had an ear to listen. Made sure u knew he was proud of u or even if he was disappointed but he would always tell us that no matter what he knew we could do it. He love md all his family and friend an and I will miss walking in to taco John’s and him not being there. Praying for his family his friends and all that knew him
Dear Karen, Kendra, and Tracy,
I was so sad to hear of Sonny’s passing. I have been reminiscing about so many of my childhood memories that include him and your family. So many football games where I was cheering on the cheerleaders and I especially laugh thinking about Sonny’s “strict” instructions for me when I was going to babysit Taylor for the first time. “Make sure she has fun.”
I wish I could be there to celebrate his life with you but please know I’m sending all my love from Idaho.

I worked with Sonny for forty years on the railroad and we played many rounds of golf together. He was always in a good mood and had a smile and a kind word for whomever he came in contact with! Thanks for the memory’s my friend! Ron Snow
Sonny was one of my closest friends at Dupo Highschool but then again Sonny was friends with everyone. After graduation as often happens life takes us in different directions and I lost contact with Sonny but often thought of him and wondered where, what, and how he was doing. It took about forty years, mobile phones, and class reunions to get together again. After that we called each other often to chat and he would update me on our classmates and Dupo. Sonny was a kind person and always had a big smile and positive attitude. Rest in peace, you will be missed my friend.
