Mrs. Ryan and family, I was a friend of Terry's from childhood through the time we came to St. Louis to find jobs. We didn't attend the same grade school, but we attended the same church and had already formed a friendship by the time we started seventh grade. When we were twelve we joined Boy Scouts together. Reflecting now, I find that my Jr. High and High School years are filled with fond memories of Terry. Unfortunately, our lives took us in different directions after our move to St. Louis and I probably only saw Terry a hand full of times since. Terry was always fun to be with,whether we were fishing, playing basketball in his driveway or just driving around. I am sorry I will not be able to attend the Memorial Service and share in remembering Terry. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My condolences to the entire Ryan family.

I had the pleasure of working with Terry during the ROLM years and I learned how to enjoy a beer under his leadership. We worked together at May Co and even with the constant pressure Terry was always happy and a pleasure to be around. My only regret is that I didn't stay in touch with Terry over the years.

If I could imagine what Terry would say, I think it would be a quote from Winston Churchill -
"I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter"

Lucy and family.
I am so sorry for your loss, I honestly cannot imagine your sorrow.
Terry was such a HAPPY person,he would always make me laugh or at the very least put a smile on my face.
I pray that those who will miss him dearly will always have his laughter and smiles.

I was happy to talk with Terry on 9/19/09 about our class reunion and was so sorry to learn of his illness. Verdell and Terry played basketball together and enjoyed reliving some of those times at the last reunion.
We are so sadden about his untimely passing and will keep

Dear Lucy and family,

Terry and I grew up together in Farmington (K-12).

Those were great years and I will always treasure his friendship and tons of fond memories. We played basketball together. I remember frequently being at his house after school only to be sent home early because the Ryans ate supper before we did. I think Mr. Ryan left for work around 5PM so Terry had to be home early.

Sometime (probably junior or senior year in high school)Terry became know as "The Senator". Last night after I learned of Terry's death I tried and tried before finally falling asleep to remember why we called him The Senator. I couldn't come up with the explanation, but I intend to dig deeper. The name probably came from Rick Secor.

Terry and I stayed in touch after high school when he was working in STL for Western Electric but sometime around the mid or late 70s we lost touch but I did not lose my friend or memories. I have one story that I will share with you in private that occured in December 1962 soon after high school. It is too embarrassing for the public nature of the Internet even though the statute of limitations has run. Let's for now just say "Boys will be boys."

I worked with Terry at Siemens. I met him only a few time in person but knew he was a generous and careing individual. My deepist condolences go out to all of his family.

Dear Mrs. Ryan. I was a childhood
Friend and high school friend of your husband. We grew up together
and were in Boy Scouts. I always admired the way Terry played baseball and basketball.
We visited with Burlbaw, Secor and others at the Elks a few years
back and I am thankful for the time. I know that Terry is in a
a better place and not suffering.
That does not replace your loved
one but I hope that you and the children can reflect on the good times. At our age, the good times
seem to come and go so very fast.
I marvel at this new tecnology
that is able to let me extend by
deepest sympathy for his passing.
