Josephine Spytek, 95 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home, Edwardsville, IL. She was born in Herrin, IL, the daughter of the late Joseph and Maggie (Wilent) Bagdonas. She had worked at the U.S. Postal Service and had been a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL, and VFW Post #2210 Auxiliary in Ste. Genevieve, MO. She was known as Columbia's first lady mail carrier. She was married to the late Leo Spytek. They were married on August 23, 1944, at Evanston, IL. He had passed away April 13, 2005.
