Steven Brian Thorpe's Obituary
Steven Brian Thorpe, 50 years of Red Bud, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Red Bud Regional Hospital in Red Bud, IL. He was born January 26, 1971, in Wichita, KS.
Steven was a self employed coppersmith. He was a member of the New Athens Sportsman's Club, founding member of Godzilla Fest and the Polar Bear Club.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Marla Thorpe, nee Litteken, his sons, Zachary (Lucia) Dinges, Creek (Hollie) Thorpe and Evan Thorpe, his grandchildren, Elli Dinges, Dalen Dinges, Bryer Dinges, Zoey Dinges and one on the way, his parents, Kay and Dennis Laughlin, his brother, William Thorpe, his sisters, Susan Thorpe and Keri Laughlin, he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill & Viola Hoffman and Bill & Lilly Laughlin, his mother-in-law, Betty Litteken, his brothers-in-law, Bruce Range and Tim Litteken, his nephew, Craig Range and his niece Erin Powers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL, with a time of reflection and celebration beginning at 4:00 p.m.
