Great guy! He was a mentor to me in the Knights when I moved to Columbia. Loved working with Steve.
My deepest condolences on the passing of Stephen Dressler, Sr.
As a neighbor and someone who knew Steve as a child, I have fond memories of the kind and caring person he was. His dedication to his faith and community was truly remarkable. Above all, I remember Steve as a devoted husband to Joyce and a loving father to Stephen Jr. and Tony.

Mr Dressler was my Belle-Clair soccer coach in the 70s. He embodied fairness , teaching and fun while playing a game. He was always full of Grace and poise. Nearly 50 years later, when I hear horrors of youth sports, I always respond “I had a great man as a little league coach who made a game fun for kids.” 50 years later a I still recall and discuss his class, what a testament to a life well lived.
Anyone who played soccer in Belleville at that time and was lucky enough to play for Mr Dressler or Joe Verdu , not only learned a game but excellent life lessons.
