OBITUARY
Shirley "Norma" J. McCarthy
Shirley "Norma" J. McCarthy, 77 years of Columbia, Ill., formerly of Red Bud, Ill., passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis, MO. She was born May 31, 1939, in Prairie du Rocher, Ill. She was married to the late Francis D. McCarthy Jr.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Red Bud, Ill., and VFW Post 6632 ladies auxiliary in Red Bud, Ill.
She was retired as an Inspector from Snyder General.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Philomena, nee Rudloff, Mineman, her siblings, Shirleen Voges, Marvin Mineman, Robert Mineman, Charles Mineman and Carrol Mineman.
Surviving are her sons, Daniel (Cathy) McCarthy, Robert (Lisa) McCarthy, Craig (Carolyn) McCarthy and Richard (Sandy) McCarthy, her daughter, Yvonne (Dean) Hanger, 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud, Ill.
