Shirley A. Kennedy's Obituary
Shirley A. Kennedy, 87 years, of Columbia, IL, passed away on June 2, 2019 at Garden Place of Columbia, Columbia, IL. She was born February 3, 1932, in St. Louis, MO, daughter of the late Hayes and Mathilda, nee Lunnemann, Gill. She was married to James T. Kennedy, who survives her. They were married February 3, 1951, in St. Louis, MO.
Shirley was retired from Anheuser Busch, St. Louis, MO. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL, and a past member of the Waterloo Country Club, where she enjoyed many rounds of golf.
Surviving are her daughter, Sue (Rick) Taylor of Columbia, IL; two sons, Patrick (Tammy) Kennedy of St. Louis, MO, and Jerry (Janine) Kennedy of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren, J.R. (Molly) Taylor, Ann Taylor, Courtney Kennedy, Ramona Kennedy, Brittney Kennedy, and Sean Kennedy; a great-grandchild, Lucy Kennedy Taylor; sister, Elaine Voight of Lake St. Louis, MO, along with other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ken and Richard Gill.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 8, 2019, 9:30 am - 10:30 am, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 8, at 10:30 am, at the church, with Fr. Carl Scherrer, officiating.
