Shirley Mae Bertelsman's Obituary
Shirley Mae Bertelsman, nee Sutter, 88 years of Fairview Heights, Ill, formerly of Millstadt, Ill., born April 6, 1930, in Millstadt, Ill., passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Charles Garden Senior Living in Fairview Heights, Ill.
Shirley was a retired beautician and had previously worked at the Belleville Shoe Factory. She was a member and past president of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary 1739 in Belleville, Ill., and the Moose Lodge in Swansea, Ill., and she was an arthritis instructor at Live Rite Fitness Club.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Milton Bertelsman; her parents, Elmer B. and Irma, nee Pfeil, Sutter her four Brothers, Elmer Sutter, Howard Sutter, Roland Sutter and Benny Sutter and her sister, Margie Schuchardt.
Surviving are her son, Dennis (Irene) Bertelsman, her daughter, Susan (Paul) Weible, her four granddaughters, Tina Smith, Dena (Matt) Schmid, Heather (Justin) Reid and Erica (Gregory) Uhrhan, her grandson, Chad (John Vazquez) Bertelsman; her ten great-grandchildren, Tyler (Samantha) Smith, Alex Smith, Liam Schmid, Gia Schmid, Grant Schmid, Ryan Schmid, Mason Reid, Hunter Reid, Elsa Uhrhan and Otto Uhrhan, her great great grandaughter, Olivia Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill.
Interment will follow at the Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
