Sherry L. Nelson's Obituary
Sherry L. Nelson, 65 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on September 22, 2017 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. She was born September 23, 1951, in East St. Louis, IL, daughter of the late Irwin "Bill" and Josephine, nee Lang, Cheatham. She was married to James E. Nelson, who survives her. They were married May 6, 1972, in Edwardsville, IL.
Surviving are her two daughters, Leslie (Larry) McDowell, and Tracie (Paul) Haueisen; two sons, Jim (Patty) Nelson, and Jerry Nelson; grandchildren, Meaghan, Madeline, Kaylie, Athan, Josie, and Dalton, along with other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 2017, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, at Lawlor Funeral Home, Columbia, IL. Services will be held at 12:00 noon, on Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Francis officiating. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, IL.
