Sharon Marie Smith's Obituary
Sharon Marie Smith, nee Moallankamp, 71 years of Waterloo, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Mercy South Hospital, St. Louis, MO. She was born December 31, 1950, in East St. Louis, IL.
Sharon was a home maker and a member of First Baptist Church in Columbia, IL. She also had volunteered at the Veterans Hospital in Marion, IL.
Surviving are her mother, Shirley Moallankamp of Columbia, IL, her son, John Smith of Red Bud, IL, 3 grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, Jean (Donald) Robinson of Valmeyer, IL, Peggy Stogsdill of Highland, IL, Brenda (Randy) Busch of St. Louis, MO, Wayne (Cheryl) Moallankamp, Jr. of Columbia, IL, Richard (Carol) Moallankamp of Columbia, IL, Connie (Gerard) Wittenauer of Waterloo, IL, Allan (Linda) Moallankamp of Dupo, IL, and Lisa Crossen of Sorrento, IL, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolland Smith, her father, Wayne Carl Moallankamp Sr., her brother, Steven Moallankamp and her twin brothers, Ronald and Donald Moallankamp; her brothers-in-law, Larry Stogsdill and David Crossen.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Columbia, IL. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Columbia, IL. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery, Columbia, Illinois.
